Since the beginning of summer the area affected with fire presents one million hectares which is twice as much as previous year.
Most of these areas are situated in the part of the country, where problems with communication exist , which causes great difficulties in putting out the fire. The largest amount of the forest fires is considered to be in such territories as regions of Arkhangelsk, West Siberia, and Far East.
Especially grave situation is observed in Yakutiya and Komi Republic. For the last twenty four hours firemen have extinguished thirty forest fires within the area of two thousand hectares. According to the Siberian Center of Emergency Situations, most of the fires started because of thunders. Currently the forests are under surveillance of authorities, and one can't get easily to its territory.
