Russia takes fifth golden medal in Shanghai

Russian synchronized swimming team has won the fifth golden medal at the world aquatic championships in Shanghai. Today’s gold is for the free combination.


      

Anastasia Davydova, Anzhelika Timanina, Elvira Khasyanova, Natalia Ishchenko, Gromova Maria, Svetlana Kolesnichenko, Daria Korobova, Alla Shishkina, Svetlana Romashina, Aleksandra Patskevich finished with 98.470 points.


      

“The girls are really great today”, said the main coach of Russian team Tatyana Pokrovskaya to RIA News. “We prepared this program last year, and decided to show it this year. First I said I wanted to change some things in it but as a result I have changed everything. We started training the present program in April. We have done it rather quickly, and it’s possible to make such programs with these girls quickly”.
