The Accosiation of small town's theatres will open in Russia, reported by RIA News. The Russian culture minister Alexander Avdeev has announced it recently at the Government's session.
The actor and art director of the Theatre of Nations Yevgeny Mironov is going to head the Association. He also manages the planning of the organisation. Previously the actor repeatedly carried out the actions behind theatrical figures from different Russian regions.
During his speech at the "government hour" in the State Duma, Alexander Avdeev has complained about the lack of theatres in Russian regions. Now there are only 18% of theatres in Russian towns, however there are some really amazing places among them which are completely unknown to the public, according to Avdeev. He states that the Government is going to comply a registry of the theatres in small towns.
In Mr Avdeev's opinion, one of the main problems in theatrical field is the difficulty in adoption of the contract system which is supported by many theatre figures.
The formalities for the foundation of the Association of Small Towns Theatres will be finalised by the end of 2011. The aim of the Association is to aid the small theatres in search of location and financing as well as in holding guest performances in big cities.
Apart from his successful acting career, Yevgeni Mironov is famous for his aiming to introduce the creative works of national theatres to the professional theatrical public and to support the intiatives which were given rise by the public. The actor often invites his colleagues to take place in some of his projects, which helps to unite the mixed theatrical society.
