Russian Museum Exhibits Folk Art

Exhibition Outstanding collectors of folk artz has opened in Benua's Building of the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg.
      
       The exposition presents about 400 works of folk art of the second half of the 19th – early 21st centuries. All the exhibits - from icons to toys – have been collected by 19 collectors of folk art. All the works are exhibited for the first time. The exhibition presents not only individual predilections of the collection owners, but also the general tendencies of collecting in Russia in the 19th-20th centuries.
      
       The exhibition will be opened till November, 1st 2011.
