India to Cooperate with Russia in Nuclear Industry

India has a strong intention to build large and modern nuclear units and to cooperate with our country in this field.

However, Indian authorities claim they are not interested in a floating nuclear power plant, which is currently being built in Russia. Such power plants are suitable for countries with low population density and with high demand for fresh water, they say.

First unit of a Russian floating nuclear power plant will be finished soon, and the NPP will start operation at Kamchatka in 2014. Russian authorities believe that India will change its mind, when a floating power plant proves itself.
