Such significant growth is a result of large-scale information campaign, held by the Association of Hostels and Moscow Commitee of Tourism. The aim of this campaign is the attraction of attention to the different budget means of accomodation in Moscow and other Russian cities. According to the chairman of the Committee Sergey Shpilko, thre is no lack of hostels in Moscow , that's why new hostels opening should be correlated correctly with the increase of tourist flow.
The director of Bear Hostel network Daniil Mishin said, that the most popular hostel season is summer, when more than 80% of the places are occupied.
Such popularity has led to the consultations held by the Association of Hostels for those who are interested in this kind of business. The main problems of future hostel owners are incomprehension of people's needs, absence of the correct instruments for the promotion in social networks. Besides, one needs to take care about free Internet, sufficient number of shower cubicles and comfortable zone for conversation.
Bear Hostel Network is planning to open about 10 hostels for 500 persons till the end of 2012.
