Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala paid 15mln EUR for Evgeny Zirkov transfer from FC Chelsea, Sports.ru reports. Zhirkov signed a four-year contract with the Russian team till 2015.
      

The leftfielder Zhirkov will get number 81 in Anzhi. "I am so happy to get in Makhachkala, to tell the truth I didn’t expect such a warm reception", said Zhirkov. "That's great! I hope to play a match against Spartak. When I played at Chelsea I used to score a beautiful goal against Spartak Moscow".
      

Zhirkov cost Chelsea £18mln in August 2009. He has played 49 matched for the Club and scored a brilliant goal against Spartak Moscow in the Champions League group stages and won the penalty that reignited Chelsea's 2010/11 season in the 2-1 win against Manchester United at the Bridge. He was in the last year of his contract with Chelsea.
