Gherman Titov Memorial Museum Opens in Altay Territory
Gherman Stepanovich Titov

A memorial museum of the well-known spaceman Gherman Stepanovich Titov (1935-2000) has been opened in Polkovnikovo Village of the Altay Territory.
The memorial complex includes the restored building of a school, where the future cosmonaut studied (old Gherman Titov Museum was placed there before restoration), and a new building that houses exposition halls, the museum depository, and employees offices.
The museum reconstruction cost over 80 million roubles to the regional budget. The total area of the new museum complex now exceeds one thousand square meters.
