The official considers these two cities to be " the pearls of the country " and proposes to include them in the Golden Ring. He also told that several touristic projects will be realized very soon. Particularly,  a new embankment, modern hotel and park will be constructed.

Besides, the building of boyar's mansion with coaching inn is planned. Decoration and furniture of the 17th century will be recreated there. The construction starts this year and the whole complex will be ready in 3-4 years.

But there is an obstacle obvious to all tourist experts - transport accessibility of Balakhna and Gorodets. All Golden Ring excursions are based on bus travelling, that are based by-turn on good roads ( with cafes, toilets etc.). Road improvement must be a top priority task.

While the beginning of the year was marked by the slump in demand, in  the summer tourists have recommenced their visits.
