Russian Museum to Exhibit Paintings by Konstantin Korovin

A large-scale exhibition of works by the world famous Russian painter Konstantin Korovin has been opened in the Russian Museum.
Visitors can see the artist’s works of the 1880s, which became an innovative phenomenon in Russian painting of that epoch, as well as his later paintings of the 1920s-1930s, when Konstantin Korovin lived and worked in French emigration.
The exposition combines monumental painting, drawings, theatrical sceneries and costumes.
Visitors will also see rare photos and documentary materials related to life and creativity of Konstantin Korovin.
Of special interest are panels that decorated walls of the Russian pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
The exhibition runs till November, 2011.
