This year over 5 thousand archeological finds have been unearthed in the Novgorod Region; some of the artifacts have been found in would-be building lots.
      
       In particular, a unique tool for manufacturing of medieval seals has been found in a pit in Dobryni Street.
      
       To make it clear, 6 thousand Old Russian seals have been found altogether, whereas the found tool is the first one, and in Byzantium 70 thousand seals and only 3 tools for their manufacturing have been revealed.
      
       “The rarity and uniqueness of the find is accounted for by the fact that after the death or descent from the political arena of the Middle Ages of this or that ruler his seals were destroyed in order to avoid falsification” - archeologist Peter Gaidukov explains.
