The end of September 2011 will be marked by an unprecedented event for Russian music lovers - a large-scale joint tour of American and Russian folk singers.
Olga Chikina and Chris Pureka - two bright representatives of the music trend called singer-songwriting - will give several gigs in a row in Russian cities.
Speaking about Chris Pureka, it is the American country-folk tradition that gave the world Bob Dylan in the 1960s and his predecessors. In case of Olga Chikina it is the tradition of artist song rooted in Russian city folklore with a distinct echo of the traditional Russian folklore.
The tour will encompass 6 cities of Russia, such as Moscow, Ryazan, St. Petersburg, Samara, Nizhni Novgorod, and Perm. The concerts will be held in major venues seating 200 to 600 persons. The concerts will be held in chamber atmosphere favorable for direct communication with musicians.
