Russia Has Exported More than 4 mln Tons of Grain

Since July 1 Russia has exported more than 4 mln tons of grain, reports Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

It is 11% more than for the same period last year. The export of Russian grain this year may reach 20-23 mln tons, informs the Ministry. As of today 58 mln tons of grain has been threshed in Russia, including 37.3 mln tons of wheat.

The crops and leguminous plants have been threshed form the square of 22 mln hectares, what makes 50 % of crops square.  The wheat has been threshed from 12.6 mln hectares (46% from crops square).

From July 1 Russia removed the ban on grain export, which was introduced on August 15, 2010 as a result of ruining the third of the crops caused by drought.
