Most of the Russian cinema-goers (42 percent) do not care in what country a film has been made.
About 18 percent of respondents (almost one fifth part) has negative attitude towards domestic pictures. Only every tenth person of the film fans living in Russia definitely prefers Russian cinema. Such are the results of the survey carried out by the research holding ROMIR and the independent research company Movie Research.
The survey also shows 29 percent of the respondents prefer going to the cinema to watch domestic films but don't ignore foreign ones. According to the poll results these are mainly people above 45 years of age who mainly watch Russian movies, whereas one third of young respondents are not interested in the Russian cinema at all.
