150 People Came To Paint a Giant Eco-Bag In Moscow

The action "Unpack!" is a starting pont of the long-term programme against the use of plastic bags. The ones who came with their own eco-bags, took part in the lottery with eco-prizes. The others could watch the pillow battle between the activists of "Eca", disguised as " packet-killers" and "bags-heroes". The bags won this battle, but the main success of the event was the renunciation of 50 people of using plastic packets.

There will be a public opinion poll in 42 regions of Russia from the 1st of September to the 1st of November. The aim of the poll is to find out the awareness of people concerning this problem and willingness to accept the alternative package. Ecologists are going to colaborate with the supermarkets to campaign for the use of eco-bags. Moreover, " against packet" banners are yet to appear in the Internet, and the volunteers will give special lessons in school.

Meanwhile, trade networks in Moscow use about 500 tonns of plastic packages every month. 4 millards of packages are used in the capital of  the country.
