The director of the park Lubov' Kipriyanova and the scientist of the Institute of Geography Elena Trofimova showed a special video to the experts of UNESCO. The video tells about the history, climate, soil, flora and fauna of the park, founded in 1995 on the territory with the square of 1 million 353 hectares.
It is very populat among tourists, it is visited by 12 thousand tourists every year. UNESCO experts are Kyo Sin Khu (Korea) and Sorang Go ( Mongolia). They will spend a few days in Yakutiya, visit "Lena Pillars" and make a technical conclusion. The final decision will be made by the Committee of UNESCO's World Heritage in December.
