Kiss Monument Created in Chelyabinsk

Sculptural composition Kiss to Chelyabinsk will be unveiled in the Pushkin Garden in Chelyabinsk on September, 13th.

The monument depicts huge lips two to three meters large.

Apart from its shape, the monument is special for the fact that Chelyabinsk dwellers also took part in its creation. The monument will be revetted with kisses of the townspeople, who joined celebrations of the World Kiss Day on July, 6th.

The unofficial international holiday the World Kiss Day is celebrated all over the globe. This year Chelyabinsk dwellers have joined it for the first time. Traditionally this day is marked with various actions, performances and competitions in this or that way connected with people’s kisses.

According to the project head, this sculptural composition created in the street-art format is unique. Its authors hope that Kiss to Chelyabinsk will soon become a bright sight of the city, and a major venue for newly-married couples and tourists.
