One Third of Brand Goods in Russia is Fake

The share of fake famous brand clothes in Russia has made up 37 % of total turnover, informs the Department of Economic Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs based on the results of operation ‘Counterfeiting’ held this spring.

Among perfume, beauty, household chemistry goods and food the fake products make from 15 up to 30 %.

The Department has named the major suppliers of fake products into Russia. First of all they are south-eastern Asian countries (China, Singapore, India and others), Bulgaria, Turkey, Poland and Ukraine. The level of false brand production in the territory of Russia is minor.
