Edward Kochergin Takes Dovlatov Award

Petersburg writer and theatre artist Edward Kochergin has become the winner of the Sergei Dovlatov Award.

      Being the prize-winner Edward Kochergin from Petersburg has received 100 thousand roubles from Boris Yeltsin Foundation that supports the award.


      

Edward Kochergin has been honoured with the award for his books “Angel’s Doll” and “Christened with Crosses”, in which the author tells about his childhood in Siberia and post-war Leningrad, among thieves and the poor of the Petrograd quarters and Vasilievsky Island.


      

Sergei Dovlatov Award ceremony crowned the celebrations of the writer’s 70th anniversary in Petersburg.
