Exhibition Dedicated to Polar Explorer Fridtjof Nansen to be Held in Petersburg

Exhibition Fridtjof Nansen – for Peace and Reconciliation dedicated to the 150th anniversary since the birth of the well-known Norwegian scientist will be opened in the Russia’s Political History Museum.


      

Fridtjof Nansen (1861 - 1930) made a lot for his country as a politician and a diplomat, but first of all he is known as a scientist, a polar explorer and a pioneer, as well as an organizer of numerous humanitarian efforts.


      

The exhibition will present posters with photos and texts telling about Fridtjof Nansen’s versatile activity. The exhibition has been earlier shown in New York and will be displayed in Russia for the first time.


      

The exposition will run from September, 14th till October, 5th.
