Russian rock musicians have released the album For Troitsky to support the musical critic Artemy Troitsky, who is currently sued for his sharp critical remarks.
The receipts from the album sales will be used to cover expenses on legal actions, reports the initiator of the project, leader of the Center band Vasily Shumov.
Troitsky has legal proceedings with the former member of the band Agatha Christie Vadim Samoylov and with the ex-major of traffic police Nikolay Khovansky. Troitsky’s public statements gave grounds for launching cases against him.
All 23 songs that make the album have been provided by musician absolutely free of charge.
“These are various tracks of various musicians. The musicians have given both known songs, and absolutely new ones. Thus, for example, Noize MC has given a new song, so has Nike Borzov, and our band has included a song that is part of our album, which is recorded now, and Mumiy Troll has given his famous song “Vladivostok”. Televizor band has provided a song most suitable for the topic – “Board up the Cellar” – Vasily Shumov said.
The album also includes songs by Lyapis Trubetskoy, Yuri Shevchuck, Vasya Oblomov, Karln Hlamkin, NOM, Barto, Brazzaville and many others.
