It is eminently important, that it is the second award of the hotel. Last year the  " Oscar " of tourist industry was also given to Moscow Hotel. There were many competitors in the contest for prestige such as Paris Hotel " Four Seasons Hotel George V " and  "Mandarin Oriental Hotel du Rhone" , situated in Geneva.

      The competition World Travel Awards is annual, the first one was in 1993. According to the results of voting of main tour operators from all over the world, the leaders in various areas are selected.

      The elegant hotel was built in 1953-1957 on the shore of Moscow-river in luxurious district of the city - on Kutuzovsky Avenue. The building is one of the seven hillocks of the Stalin era and is a great example of Soviet neoclassicism. In the middle of the 20th century the hotel , which height is 206 metres, was the highest European hotel.
