XI Open Gathering of school forestries and ecological associations opened in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area (Yugra) on Monday, reported by the mayor's press service. Members of Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk and Omsk regions have come to take part in that unique meeting.
Natalia Komarova, the head of KhMAA, joined school children, when they gathered about the fire during a short walking trip, singing and listening to the ballad songs. Besides, several professional forest rangers showed the children their musical abilities.
"Forest ranger is a rare and refined profession. I'm sure that here, among your mentors, who devoted their lifes to the forestry, you will be taught to carry on your future work honestly and attentively," Komarova told the members of the gathering.
School forestries' representatives for 14 municipal governments, as well as 5 teams from other Russian regions, have come to the Khanty-Mansi Region for the rich meeting's programme. Within five days they will be transplanting cedars, taking part in creative contests, masterclasses, relay races and round-table conferences.
At the end of the XI Open Gathering of school forestries and ecological associations "Let's Save Yugra's Blooming World" the best team will be awarded.
