Russian subsidiary of one of the largest European banks BNP Paribas, BNP Paribas Vostok, is closing all its business lines, except express crediting, before the deal with Sberbank.
The bank offers its clients to dissolve their agreements early, till the first of October this year. More than that, BNP Paribas Vostok is to close most of its branches by the end of the year.
It’s impossible to open or to replenish a current deposit at the bank from the last week. Opening accounts and making transfers are also unavailable.
Sberbank, the main future owner of BNP Paribas Vostok, is not interested in developing the clients’ base in all the services except goods credits. POS crediting will be the only service after goods line restructuring. By the end of the year all the bank branches will be closed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Rostov- on –Don and Yekaterinburg. Only one office in Krasnaya Presnya will be working.
