Russia’s rhythmic gymnast star Yevgenia Kanaeva has become three-times World Champion in all-round event, having grabbed all gold medals available to date at the at the 2011 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in the French Montpellier.
During the first three days of competition Kanaeva claimed five wins, four of them coming from individual competitions and the other as part of the Russian team in all-around event.
That last event was probably the hardest one. Kanaeva gained 116,55 points overall, leaving behind her main contender Daria Kondakova only for 0,05 points.
Moreover, on 22 of September, Russian national team, consisted of Yevgenia Kanaeva, Daria Kondakova and Daria Dmitrieva, won gold medals in a team tournament, gained 290,275 points. National team of Belarus took the second place and the Ukrainian team took the third place.
Evgenia Kanaeva is the 2008 Olympic champion. She also has 11 world champion's titles. At the European championships Kanaeva has earned 12 gold medals, and also she brought to the Russian team four gold and one silver medal at the Universiade in China which was held in the summer of 2011.
