Russian companies Tupolev, the plant Aviastar-SP and Syrian airline Syrianair have signed a memorandum of intent on supplying Tu-204 SM passenger jets, reports Itar-Tass. The document provides making a contract for supplying three Russian jets from 2013. The sum of the deal is not specified.
The average cost of Tu-204SM is reported to be about 1.13 bln Rubles (about $ 36.5 mln). The purchase of the three Tu jets will cost Syrian airline at least $ 108 mln. The signed memorandum also provides for opening a maintenance center for Tu-204 SM in Syria.
Tu-204 SM sitting capacity is 210 people. The jet may flight at 850km/h, the flight range is 4.8 thousand kilometers.
