Djanna Tutundjan Museum to Appear in Vologda

A personal exhibition of the People’s Artist of Russia Djanna Tutundjan has been opened in Vologda.
      
       At the opening ceremony the People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Korbakov suggested opening the Djanna Tutundjan Museum in Vologda. The idea was also supported by Chairman of the Vologda Union of Artists Nikolai Mishusta, as well as the city governor. “For me Tutundjan is artist number 1; all artists are remarkable, but she was a special person for me, with an open and suffering heart, and therefore I am all for her museum”.
      
       About one hundred and fifty major painting and graphic works created by the artist throughout fifty years of her career in Vologda have been displayed at the exposition. The art works have been provided by the regional art gallery and the artist’s family. The exhibition is located on two floors of the central exhibition hall of the art gallery and runs from September, 22nd till November, 20th, 2011.
