Natalya Vodianova's charitable foundation "Naked Hearts" with the support of Nickelodeon Channel has organized a big festival for disabled children at the unique design factory "Flakon" in Moscow. That event gathered all children from the centers which are supported by "Naked Hearts".
The main character, an energetic and optimistic sea sponge SpongeBob SquarePants from the homonymous Nikelodeon cartoon became the event's main talisman. The children were able to play at the new and unique children's playground, designed after "SpongeBob SquarePants" series. Later that playground will be moved to the Children's Hospital ¹38 in Moscow. There also was a special exposition which allowed children and their parents to get to the fantasy underwater world and SpongeBob's home.
The famous American channel's officials haven't chosen Russia for that event by accident. According to their data, Russia knows SpongeBob better than other countries - about 87% people heard about that cartoon or its character.
The "Naked Hearts" foundation and Nikelodeon also held a philanthropic auction, where its visitors could buy some rare objects related to SpongeBob SquarePants and other Nikelodeon cartoons, as well as dresses from famous fashion designers and tickets to concerts and shows, including MTV Europe Music Awards. All gained money will be spent for the building of new children's playgrounds in Russian cities and for the development of new supporting programmes.
The "Naked Heart" foundation was created by famous Russian model Natalya Vodianova in 2005. The organization has its branch offices in Great Britain and the USA. The foundation's mission is the creation of safe and fascinating parks for children in different Russian cities. The foundation has also sponsored the building of more than 60 parks and playgrounds in 44 Russian cities, icluding 13 orphanages, 3 hospitals and 9 convalescent centers.
