Tver Region Continues the Tradition of Unusual Museums
Emelya and the Pike

The interactive Museum of Pike is situated in a picturesque area of Tver Region – village Schuchye. 

      The main heroes of the exhibition are the young man named Emelia and the Pike from the famous Russian folk tale. Locals pass on legend that he lived in this village and once has caught a magic pike in a lake. That is why the museum has appeared in this place.

      The exposition includes fishnets, rods, spinnings and stuffed pikes. In a literary department tourists can find fisher’s stories and legends popular in the village.

      Ancient settlement is situated on the bank of the lake, 355 km from Tver if move along the highway “Moscow-Riga” before turning to Western Dvina.   

      The Museum of Pike has taken its place among other out of the ordinary attractions in Tver Region (Goat Museum, Bee Museum, Raspberry Museum, House of Baba Yaga).
