The poll on www.myplanetawards.ru was conducted in August and in September. According to its results Baikal Lake has been chosen among dozens of places like Kenya, Costa Rica, Altay, Kemer (Turkey), Slovenian Lake Bled and others.

      Experts believe that this award shows the main trends in the development of tourism. The statistics of Yandex indicates that Baikal is interesting for about 300 thousand people per month, the rest on Baikal Lake – for about 30 thousand people.

      The award has been established by “Eventica Communications” together with Russian TV channel “My planet”. The nominations have been chosen in a way that all members of the international and Russian tourism industry could apply for a prize.
