From October 28 to November 7, Moscow will be hosting the 5th International Big Cartoon Festival. It is planned to show works of Russian and foreign animators and to offer master-classes and lectures professionals in this well-loved artform.
Four previous festivals attracted much public's attention, so this year its program will be enlarged. The festival will be held at 12 stages of Moscow.
This year, the festival’s Cartoon Factory project, which in previous years aimed to give schoolchildren an insight into the creation of animated films, is set to broaden its boundaries and host a series of serious educational events for high school students, as well as for children of different interests and skills - from games and attractions to serious training.
Within the framework of the festival program, a "PRO animation" display will uncover the techniques behind the process of making a cartoon. The exhibition will showcase the latest equipment used to bring animated characters to life.
