From October 17 to 22 the Central House of Journalists in Nikitsky Boulevard will greet 45 documentary films included in the screening program of the 3rd all-Russia docufest dedicated to all who work in the mass-media in Russia.
The festival organisers hope that after this year it will be easier to maintain the annual festival schedule, making it a unique event that focuses on the ways Russian Journalism has been evolving since 1980s. The processes of evolution, adaptation and sometimes radical break-offs take place simultaneously, whereby it is important to offer at least some perspective on how Russian Journalism is developing today.
The festival is headed by the President of the Russian Union of Journalists; among the jury members are such established journalists, as Alexander Politskovsky, Nikolai Svanidze, Konstantin Smirnov, Eteri Levieva. The majority of 45 entry films have been produced by regional TV companies. In the words of Alexander Politskovsky, this is a good sign, considering a high level of bias among Moscow journalists.
The winning documentaries are promised to be screened on Sovershenno Secretno TV channel.
