China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has shown its interest in participation in mastering of Kovyktinskoye and Chayandinskoye gas and condensate deposits, which are considered to be the largest in Russia, reports Interfax.
Kovyktinskoye deposit in Irkutsk Region is estimated in 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas, Chayandinskoye deposit is estimated in no less than 1.3 billion cubic meters.
The Chinese side is also interested in taking part in building gas pipeline from Russian to South Korea.
