The world largest furniture retailer IKEA plans to open a car wash net at its stores in Russia. The first car wash will be opened in November 2011 on the territory of Mega store in Kazan, reports RBC Daily.
The cleaning group Faberon will become IKEA’s partner in this new sphere of business. IKEA is to launch its car washes under the brand Aquamatik, which is belonged to Faberon. About 15 car washes will be opened at IKEA stores all over Russia.
A cost value of a car wash will be about 125 million Rubles (about $ 4 million). The expected payback period is three –four years.
According to RBC Daily, other retailer like Crocus, Metro and Auchan have held negotiations with Faberon about launching car washes at their stores. But they are ready to fulfill this idea after IKEA’s success in Kazan.
