A Russian-Icelandic business forum will be held in Moscow on October 25, according to Russia’s Federal Tourism Agency. The main forum's question is a Russian-Icelandic tourism cooperation agreement.
The forum is held with the support of Russia’s Trade and Industry Chamber and Iceland’s embassy in Russia. Within it, the two countries are expected to sign an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in tourism.
The Icelandic delegation will be led by Industry, Energy and Tourism Minister Katrin Juliusdottir. She will speak of Iceland's potential in tourism industry. The meeting will also be attended by the Icelandic ambassador in Russia and representatives of an Icelandic air career "Icelandair".
The Russian delegation will be represented by Rosturizm head Alexander Radkov and Yury Barzykin, deputy president of the Russian Tourism Industry Union.
Recall that Iceland's officials undertook the problem of growth of tourists' stream coming to their country. For example, they started campaign, within which common Icelanders invite tourists to their houses in order to acquaint them with Icelandic culture and customs. Even Iceland's president Ragnar Grimsson joined this action, inviting the country's guests in his house.
