The investment company VTB Capital is about to create the largest investment fund into agriculture with the volume of $ 1 billion in Russia, reports The Vedomosti. From next year the fund will start to buy agricultural assets in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Initially the fund will make up about $ 250 million, and then it will be enlarged. The means will be invested into purchase of medium-sized projects, where the company may get the majority stake.

The agricultural fund of the VTB Capital will become one of the largest in its field in the world. There are few investments into agriculture in Russia, but this brunch may bring real profit.
