Turkey and Russia to Sign a Tourist Protection Agreement
Turkish resorts

Turkey is in the process of agreeing extra-insurance protection measures for Russian tourists. This may include providing medical treatment in the instance of remission of a chronic illness. The talks follow several occasions in 2011 when tourists, including Russians, fell victims of weather and hygiene conditions in the country.

Turkey is another popular destination for Russian tourists, together with Egypt. Due to the political upheaval, Egypt gave way to Spain and Greece as popular destinations among Russian tourists. According to the source, the Turkish Ambassador has already offered his collaboration to the Russian Government in this respect.
