New recreation centre will appear in the Kaliningrad region according to the regional program “The development of the Kaliningrad region as a tourist centre in 2007-2014”. The area of 20 hectares will occupy geological and paleontological museum with figures of dinosaurs, 5D cinema, playgrounds for children and teenagers, craft studios, restaurants and cafes, gift shops and parking lots.
The first mention of the city belongs to 1254, when it was known as Neukuhren. Pionersky is situated 40 km to the north-west of Kaliningrad and is connected with other cities by the railway and automobile roads. The mild climate and fresh air attract people who like quiet and relaxing vacation.
