A complex of unique ski trampolines in Sochi - K-125 and K-95 - is now at the final stage of construction, undertaken by the German company, CeramTec-ETEC.
The Germans particularly oversee the construction of ski nubs for K-125 trampoline, which is going to be tested already in 2012, first during the Cup of Russia in February, then in July during the international ski jumping championship. The plastic coverage for the summer period was already purchased from Finland.
CeramTec-ETEC has years-long history of supporting ski championships in the now unreliable weather conditions in Europe. Their expertise lies in using ceramics to imitate the superb skiing surfaces:
CeramTec-ETEC offers a highly reliable solution: ETEC’s inrun track system ALOSLIDE® with ceramic nubs, and furthermore the version ALOSLIDE® ICE which provides an automatic irrigation and cooling system, thus enabling ski jumping events all over the year. Even under adverse weather conditions, the world’s ski jumping elite can glide on the inrun track ALOSLIDE® under identical conditions as on ice (CeramTec-ETEC).
The trampolines will prominently feature during the Winter Olympics of 2014; after this the facilities will be used for training of Russian ski jumpers, as well as for hosting local and international championships.
