Tariffs for travelling in Moscow metro in 2012 won’t be increased, they will remain on the level of the current year, said the head of Moscow metro Ivan Besedin at a press conference today.
According to Mr. Besedin, in spite of the forecast general price growth on 8.8%, the income of the State Company Moscow Metropolitan will be compensated by the combined cost saving and increasing metro attractiveness for passengers.
At the moment a ticket for a trip in metro costs 28 Rubles, for five trips – 135 Rubles, for 10 trips- 265 Rubles, for 20 trips -520 Rubles, for 60 trips -1245 Rubles. The price of a month pass with 70 trips limit makes up 1 230 Rubles (about $41).
