It seems like Russian people consider berry a sacred symbol as they even build museums, dedicated to raspberry and currant. The Museum of Raspberry already exists in Tver Region and the Museum of Currant will appear soon in Kaliningrad Region.
According to this project, one of the local estates has a plantation of currant, where visitors already can buy berries and jam. The next step is the construction of the museum. It is planned that tourists will learn about unusual recipes and the technology of berries processing.
Currently, more than 60 rural estates receive guests in the region and it is expected that the number of such farms will increase by 25% in 2016. The new museum aims to attract more travellers and to develop agritourism in the region.
