The biggest Russian food retailer X5 Retail Group will make its chain shops, Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Karusel, work 24 hours a day. According to Kommersant, the company strikes to fulfill its profit plan.
Now Perekrestok shops function round the clock, Pyaterochkas work till 22:00, and hypermarkets Karysel work mostly till 23:00.
The company X5 Retail Group comments its changing time of work with preparation for New Year’s sales.
X5 Retail Group was created in 2006 due to merging Pyaterochka and Perekrestok companies. By the period of September 30, 2011, the company manages 2 800 shops. The biggest share holder is Alfa-Group (47.86 %). In 2010 the net profit of the company exceeded $ 13 billion.
