Lake Baikal is an amazing place not only for summer holiday, but also for the winter one. If you are tired of big cities, just travel to Siberia, Lake Baikal region and you will have a completely different vacation.
It is better to hurry up, as there is already a lack of hotel rooms and it is expected that in the middle of December everything will be booked.
Holiday cottages are very popular among tourists. Typically, this is a wooden house with 3-4 guest rooms and one bathroom. The cottage, which accommodates up to 15 people, costs about 15 thousand rubles during the holidays (meals not included). If you travel with your frineds, you can club together to buy this house. It will cost about 1000 rubles per person per day and is cheaper than in a hotel. That is why cottages are highly popular.
The hotel prices for the New Year season are lower than in summer – from 1200 rubles per person at the Small Sea to 3000 rubles per person in Listvyanka.
Tourists from Moscow prefer 4-5 days tours (with an excursion program), plus another 2-3 days to spend some time on the shore of the Baikal. Such trips cost about 37 thousand rubles without transport expenses. It is not cheap – you can go to Europe for the same money.
But if you still want to visit Lake Baikal, think about your trip in advance. It is now impossible to find free campsites: Dzelinda and Goudzhekit are all booked until January 10. It is also hard to get a place in Listvyanka and Baykalsk. The situation is more or less normal in the Arshan and the Small Sea regions, so you still have time to arrange your plans and spend unforgettable days in Siberia.
