Three New Metro Stations to Open Today in Moscow
rush hour in Moscow metro

Three new metro stations “Borisovo”, “Shipilovskaya” and “Zyablikovo” have appeared in Moscow. A new section of the Liublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line from “Mariyno” to “Zyablikovo” will be opened today.

The length of the section is 4.5 km. These three stations will be the first objects according to the new metro construction program until 2020. The line opens a month ahead of schedule.

It is expected that this part of the metro line will significantly improve the transportation of people from outskirts such as Orekhovo-Borisovo, Zyablikovo, Brateevo and Moskvorechie-Saburovo. It will provide high-speed transport connection between southern and south-eastern districts and the centre of Moscow, as well as considerably relieve pressure on the southern section of the Zamoskvoretskaya line: passengers will be able to get to “Zyablikovo” station via “Krasnogvardeyskaya” station.
