Yandex Ads Banners to Rise 67% in Price

The price for media advertising will rise 67 % on the main page and in average 28% on other pages on the largest search engine in Russia,Yandex, claimed the company. While another Internet market participant is not going to change its prices for the next year at all.

Yandex changes its price list for media advertising once a year. Last year the media ads went up 24%, said Lev Gleizer, head of Media Product Development at Yandex to The Vedomosti. This year an average price for banners will rise 28%, and the ads at the main page within a year contract will rise 67%.

Another Russian Internet company is not going to rise its prices. The company explains, that advertisers under the current economic situation plan a zero media inflation in their budgets for the next year. At that the company has risen prices 50% this year in comparison with 2010.

According to The Vedomosti, the media ads market has declined in the end of 2011, so many of Internet sites will leave their prices the same for the next year.
