Russian oil companies Zarubezhneft and TNK-BP will bid for gas and oil deposits in Vietnam. Each company claims for one out of nine shelf blocks put up for tender.
Zarubezhneft has already applied for getting geological survey block in the South China Sea. TNK-BP is going to do so in the nearest time. The deposit reserves, which are bidden in Vietnam, may reach from 20 up to 30 million tons of oil.
Zarubezhneft is one of the largest Russian oil companies, which works abroad. Zarubezhneft has been working in Vietnam for about 30 years. The company produces oil together with PetroVietnam.
TNK-BP has already a 35% share in one of the largest gas deposits in Vietnam, the shelf block 06.1. It lets it produce up to 17 thousand barrel of gas daily.
