Exhibition of Valentin Serovs Drawings to Open in Moscow

The Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow, opens the exhibition of Valentin Serovs (1865-1911) drawings on December, 15th in Moscow.
It was in drawing that the artist mastered contemporary styles of fine arts, not only shaping his own method, but also discovering new paths in Russian art.
The exposition will include about 250 works: his ceremonial and chamber portraits, sketches for theatrical performances, illustrations in coal, pastel, distemper, sanguine, and water colors, as well as his prints.
The exhibition runs till 20 May 2012.
