Terrace of the main building of Vinogradovo manor - a monument of federal value - has collapsed in Severny Settlement in the north of Moscow.
The remaining part of the building is also on the verge of falling.
The big wooden building was constructed in 1912 and is an interesting combination of neobaroque forms and modernist style. Besides, unlike lots of Moscow monuments it has even kept its interior.
The attempts to rescue the monument have been complicated by the fact that the manor is occupied with the children's sanatorium, which is subordinate to the city administration and not the regional authorities.
Similar situation threatens the loss of several dozens of cultural heritage sites in Moscow.
