Egypt has Lost its Popularity among Russian Tourists

The demand for New Year’s tours abroad among Russians have been reduced on 10-50% depending on the direction. The most popular winter destination, Egypt, has lost 10-15% sales in comparison with the last year.

At that, the sales profit has remained the same, as most clients have bought the most expensive tours. The Egypt share among New Year’s trips has fallen as well. Last year it is was 40 -54% of all sold tours, this year it is only 22-39%.

The Egypt popularity could have been reduced due to political situation in this country and the fact that tourists can’t take a one day trip to Israel any more.

The demand for Thailand tours has been reduced because of natural disasters.

European ski resorts have lost their clients because of inconvenient dates, chosen by tour operators.
