Christmas Reindeer Came to Moscow (video)
Sakha Khotoy, a reindeer from Yakutia

A reindeer named Sakha Khotoy has come to Moscow from Yakut village Oymyakon om Wednesday night. He will take part in New Year celebrations in Sokolniki Park. In his native village Sakha Khotoy won a kind of contest – the most beautiful animal has been chosen from 15 thousand deer.

Sakha Khotoy will spend 10 days in Moscow and then come back to his northern land. During New year holidays the deer with Yakut Snegurochka (Snow Maiden) will congratulate Muscovites and guests of the capital.

It is interesting that a video camera will be placed on the deer's antlers to provide online broadcasting. It means that all Internet users will be able to see winter Moscow through the eyes of the wonderful Christmas reindeer from Sakha Republic.
